How do I make a booking?
In every case, check availability online or by contacting us by email or telephone.
Once you have confirmed availability, send us the booking contract, completed and signed, with the deposit amount as shown.
Can I book for a period of less than a week?
For rental accommodation, the minimum booking period is 2 nights in low season (April, May and October) and 7 nights, from Saturday to Saturday, in high season (June to September).
For a camping pitch, booking is not obligatory but is strongly advised in July and August. In this case the minimum booking period is 7 nights.
What payment methods can I use?
Bank card, cheque, "cheque vacances" holiday cheques, cash, postal orders, bank transfer.
Do you accept young people and groups?
Young people below the age of majority are only accepted if accompanied throughout their stay by a parent or legal guardian. We cannot accommodate groups.
Can holiday benefit payments be used?
Our campsite is not VACAF-registered
"Chèques loisirs" issued by the CAF family benefits agency in the department of Mayenne are accepted, and as members of the "Carte Moisson" network, holders of this card may qualify for discounts.
Will I be charged holiday tax?
Yes. The local rate for holiday tax is € 0.61 per night per person over the age of 18, and is applicable from 1st April to 30th September. This will be invoiced at the same time as the cost of your stay.
When should I pay the balance of my booking?
When booking rental accommodation, the booking balance must be paid 20 days before the date of arrival.
When booking a basic pitch, the balance is payable the day before departure.
Do you offer cancellation insurance?
Yes. You can take out optional cancellation insurance. You will find the application form and our Terms and Conditions among the documents to download at the bottom of our website's Home Page.
What are the check in and check out times for rental accommodation?
– from 04/06 to 30/09: weekly bookings, from Saturday to Saturday, check in between 4pm and 8pm, check out between 8am and 10am.
– other periods: minimum booking period 2 nights, arrival and departure days to suit you, check in between 11am and 7pm, check out between 9am and 3pm.
Is it possible to arrive or depart outside reception opening hours?
Only in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond your control ("force majeure") and with the prior agreement of the campsite.
Am I required to pay a deposit on arrival?
Yes, you will be asked for 2 deposit cheques when you check in:
One for € 60 to cover cleaning costs if cleaning is to be done by the campsite.
A second cheque for € 200 as a damages deposit.
An inventory check is carried out before you leave the accommodation, but deposit cheques are not returned on the spot. They will be sent back to you by post during the week following your departure.
Do the rental properties have heating?
All our rental accommodation (except furnished tents) has electric convection heaters in every room.
Do the rental properties have television?
All our rental accommodation (except the furnished tents) has a flat screen TV.
Is bedding provided?
Bolsters, pillows and duvets are provided. You must bring sheets and duvet covers.
Is it possible to rent cots and high chairs?
Yes, at € 15 per week per item. This should be specified on the booking contract, and is subject to availability.
Is it possible to erect a tent on the rental accommodation plot?
No, erecting a tent on the plot is strictly forbidden. You can however make an additional booking for a basic pitch.
Are pets allowed in the rental properties?
No, no pets are allowed in our rental accommodation.
How far is it to the beach?
The central beach, which is the nearest beach to the campsite, is 900m away. You can get there on foot or by bike by crossing the town and the main shopping street. There are plenty of free parking spaces along the sea front.
How far is it to the town centre?
Notre Dame de Monts town centre is 200m away, as is the supermarket.
Can I choose my pitch?
You can specify your preferences on the booking contract (near the baby facilities or disabled toilet block, in the shade, position etc.). We will allocate you the pitch that best matches your request, subject to availability, but this cannot be guaranteed.
What are the check in and check out times for basic pitches?
- one night's stay is counted from 12 noon to 12 noon.
- in high season, your pitch must therefore be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure specified at the time of booking or when you checked in.
Are water and electricity included?
Yes, there is a 10 amp electricity supply. You should bring an extension cable approximately 30 metres long and a European socket adaptor to connect to the electric hook up point.
There is constant hot water in the showers and washbasins in the toilet blocks
Are there facilities for emptying chemical toilets?
Yes. 2 chemical toilet emptying points are available, one inside the toilet block, the other in an outside cubicle set aside for this purpose.
Can you accommodate motorhomes?
Yes, motorhomes can be accommodated on the same conditions and on the same pitches as caravans and tents.
A waste water disposal point and a fresh water supply is provided for motorhomes at no extra charge.
Do you provide internet access?
You can connect to the wifi from your pitch by purchasing an access code, on sale at reception.
Is there a grocery at the campsite?
No, but in July and August bread and pastries are on sale at reception, along with ice creams and cold drinks to take away. There are local shops and a supermarket close at hand in the town centre, 300 metres away.
Is there a snack bar or restaurant at the campsite?
No, but in July and August, snack vans selling takeaway food park by the campsite entrance several evenings a week.
Is there a launderette?
Yes, with 2 washing machines, 1 dryer, clothes washing sinks with hot water and 2 ironing tables available for your use. We can also lend you an iron. Tokens for washing and drying are on sale at reception.
Can I park my car on my pitch?
Yes, you will be given a personal access code for the automatic barriers, which allows one vehicle to enter and exit between 7.30am and 11pm. An outside car park is available for overnight parking or to park a 2nd vehicle.
Can I bring my barbecue?
Yes, but only a gas or electric barbecue. Charcoal barbecues are strictly forbidden. The campsite does not have a communal barbecue, nor does it have barbecues for hire.
Does the campsite have security?
In July and August, night-time security is provided by a security guard.
Can I invite visitors?
Yes, but subject to certain conditions. A visitor is a person who visits you from time to time but who does not sleep at the campsite. You are responsible for your visitors. They must leave their vehicles in the outside car park, make themselves known at reception and pay the visitor fee. They must have left the campsite before 10pm.
What pool facilities are there?
The pool area has 2 swimming pools: One heated indoor pool with a fun paddling pool and air bubble bench, open from April to October. Outdoors, the heated pool and the large solarium area with deckchairs can be used from mid-June to mid-September.
Is the pool lifeguarded?
No, and for this reason children aged under 8 are not admitted unless they are supervised by an accompanying adult.
Are trunks and swimming shorts allowed?
No, for hygiene reasons we only allow speedos or swimming briefs for men and swimming costumes for women.
What leisure facilities does the campsite have?
In addition to the pool area, you will find:
- a private sauna with a relaxation room and herbal teas (charges apply)
- a games room with table tennis tables, a pool table, table football and a fitness area
- a children's playground
- a sand-dressed multi-sports pitch: volleyball, badminton, football and basketball
- a pétanque court and two "boules Vendéennes" pitches
Is there a kids' club?
Yes, the "Club des Petits Moussaillons", run by a qualified activities organiser, is open to kids aged between 4 and 12 at no extra charge, from Mondays to Fridays in July and August.
Do you provide entertainments?
We have chosen to make the peace and quiet of our guests our top priority, and for this reason we only provide occasional family entertainments during the day, for instance giant wooden games, pétanque tournaments etc.
